Who makes the best SLR cameras – Canon or Nikon? If there was a definite answer to this question, one of the companies would have long flown out of the market. Indeed, Canon and Nikon produce the best cameras, flashes and lenses, and they have been doing this for decades. Whatever brand you choose, you will get a wide, well-supported system for any level of development, from beginner to professional. Onliner.by tried to understand the issue by evaluating the capabilities of modern SLR cameras of both systems.
Answering the question posed in the title, we are not comparing the camera with the camera, but the system with the system. Unlike other competitors focused on consumer electronics, both Nikon and Canon have billions of projects in the production of semiconductors and space programs. Continue reading
I know that many people are interested in the fact that the photo industry can offer the best, even if this is not the best for everyone. And today we look at the “Porsche” among the cameras – Hasselblad H6D-100c.
Intro about formats
The names “Large format”, “medium format”, “narrow format” are arbitrary. Many years ago, the 4 × 5 ″ frame format (9 × 12 cm in the metric system) was considered the medium format, and the large format was 8 × 10 ″ (20 × 25 cm) or more. But a lot of time passed, it was advantageous to reduce the frame format to have a large number of frames, and we came to the conclusion that 4 × 5 ″ is already a large format, and 36 × 24 mm is the “full format”. At the same time, a huge number of camera models with a frame format appeared even smaller than 36 × 24, we consider them to be “cameras with crop factor”. Although in fact, when compared with the end of the 19th century, we have all the cameras with a huge crop factor 🙂 Continue reading
Now let’s talk about some parameters of digital video cameras that can still be used as selection criteria.
Number of CCD
Perhaps this is the parameter, at a glance at which two or three years ago, the class of a video camera immediately became clear. Now, the mere fact of having three CCDs in an amateur camcorder says almost nothing. For cameras with three matrices, using a special prism, the image is divided into three primary colors, and each color is transmitted to its own CCD matrix. It is clear that in cameras with three CCDs in most cases an optical stabilizer is used. Only in recent years, Panasonic began to produce 3-CCD cameras with electronic stabilizer, then this “initiative” was picked up by Sony. Continue reading
